What is colocation hosting?

Colocation places customer-owned servers or network equipment in a professional data center. The facility provides space, power, cooling, network connectivity, physical security, and agreed access services.

The customer typically owns the hardware and remains responsible for the operating system, applications, data, and equipment maintenance unless managed services are included.

Review the service agreement for rack space, power, bandwidth, remote hands, access, shipping, and support terms.
