Can I use my account while DNS changes are propagating?

Usually, yes. DNS propagation affects where visitors are sent; it does not stop you from working in your Intelliwire account.

  1. Use the server hostname or temporary access details from your welcome email when available.
  2. Upload files to the correct document root for the domain.
  3. Test the site from more than one network or device.
  4. Wait for the previous DNS cache to expire before judging the change.

Do not rely on a hard-coded IP address unless it is the current server IP in your welcome email. If your site works on one network but not another, that is usually cached DNS.

Email note: mail delivery follows MX records and may change at a different time than website traffic.
