How do I enable HTTPS and SSL in cPanel?

HTTPS encrypts traffic between visitors and your website. On cPanel, SSL certificates are commonly issued and renewed by AutoSSL when the domain resolves correctly and the hosting provider has enabled the feature.

  1. Make sure the domain and www hostname resolve to the Intelliwire service.
  2. Log in to cPanel and open Security > SSL/TLS Status or the SSL/TLS interface available on your account.
  3. Review the domain status and any AutoSSL error message.
  4. After the certificate is active, visit https://your-domain.example and test the site, redirects, forms, images, and mixed-content warnings.
  5. Update application settings and hard-coded links to use HTTPS.

If AutoSSL fails, check DNS, CAA records, document-root access, rate limits, and whether the domain is included in the account. Contact support with the exact error and domain.
