What is 95th-percentile bandwidth billing?

95th-percentile billing measures traffic over the billing period, removes the highest five percent of samples, and bills on the highest remaining sample. This reduces the impact of brief spikes while still accounting for sustained usage.

The exact sample interval, inbound/outbound treatment, commit level, overage rate, and rounding rules are defined by the service agreement. Ask for the traffic graph and billing details when reviewing capacity.
