What is a RAID server, and why should I use one?

cPanel may provide Files > Backup Wizard for full or partial account backups. Availability depends on the hosting package.

  1. Open Backup Wizard and select Back Up.
  2. Choose a full backup or select a partial backup such as the home directory, database, or email data.
  3. Choose the destination allowed by your account, such as the home directory or an approved remote destination.
  4. Generate the backup and wait for the completion notice.
  5. Download or copy the backup to separate storage and test a restore before relying on it.

A backup stored only in the same account is not protection against account deletion, quota failure, or a server incident. Ask Intelliwire whether managed backups and retention are included in your service.
